Job Summary
Provide first and second-level support for network-related incidents and service requests, troubleshooting issues related to IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network routing. Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points while monitoring network performance and responding to alerts or outages. Maintain ticket updates and documentation for all reported incidents, ensuring timely communication on issue status and resolution. Work with internal IT teams to resolve complex issues and assist with network maintenance, upgrades, and implementation projects. This role requires a laptop running Microsoft Windows 11, a console cable, terminal emulator software, and a serial port. Candidates need 2–5 years of network support experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with Cisco equipment or relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years experience in network support or a similar role
- Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience with Cisco or similar networking equipment
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Networking support knowledge obtained in the field
- appropriate OEM device specific training
- certification needed to work on the OEM products
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+
- Basic understanding of Windows server environments and Active Directory
