Job Summary
Design, install, and optimize WAN, LAN, wireless, and telecommunications components while ensuring system availability and physical security. Troubleshoot complex network issues, manage emergency outages, and maintain daily security practices including firmware updates and alert reviews. Lead research and implementation projects, create technical specifications for hardware and software purchases, and provide training to support personnel. Negotiate with vendors, coordinate infrastructure enhancements, and document all configuration and logical network diagrams. Respond 24/7 to address systems issues as needed under the supervision of the CIO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field
- A minimum seven (7) years of experience managing Cisco network hardware and software
- Three (3) years of experience managing Palo Alto firewalls in a multi-site environment consisting of five (5) or more locations
- Must possess a current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or obtain one within six (6) months of hire
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field
- At least ten (10) years of experience managing enterprise network routers and switches
- Must be available to respond 24/7 to address systems issues on an as needed basis when required
