Job Summary
IT Manager responsible for overseeing the management, installation, maintenance, availability and security of the school's ICT network, including hardware/software infrastructure; lead ICT staff, provide training and support to staff, monitor and maintain key systems (Switches, virtual/physical servers, Microsoft 365, backups), prepare weekly service updates and monthly service review reports, ensure alignment with school policies, and collaborate with Trustees to develop IT infrastructure and projects; 4 days per week in IT Manager role and 1 day supporting the Trust as IT Manager. Ideal candidate has 2-3 years of IT Manager/Network Manager/Senior ICT Consultant experience in a school setting, strong IT/network understanding in education, customer service orientation, and proactive problem-solving to enhance services for teaching and learning.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience as IT Manager/Network Manager/Senior ICT Consultant within a school setting
- Experience upgrading a school IT Network system
- DBS check (enhanced DBS preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive approach to improving IT services for teaching and learning
