Job Summary
Coordinate with SEI to develop and execute business unit IT strategies and operations across U.S. and Japan management teams. Supervise the IT team by managing hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and resource allocation based on priorities. Manage IT projects from planning through completion, defining requirements, budgets, and deliverables while reporting status and risks to stakeholders. Plan and implement process improvements, calculate ROI, and document change scopes for development and support teams. Communicate with SEI Japan in English and/or Japanese as needed. Work may require outside normal business hours, weekends, and occasional domestic or international travel to Mexico, Brazil, and Japan.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- 10–15 years of related experience and/or training
- Proficiency with general office equipment and Microsoft Office applications
- Programming experience with Java, JavaScript, C, C++, C#, and/or Visual Basic .NET
- Experience managing relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, MySQL, and/or PostgreSQL
- Basic infrastructure and networking experience
- Experience implementing and managing business applications, including ERP, CRM, MES, and related systems
- Ability to communicate in English and/or Japanese, including speaking, reading, and writing
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from various stakeholders
- Supervisory and management experience
- Ability to maintain records and follow applicable laws, policies, procedures, and practices
- Ability to communicate with business partners by telephone
- Work may be required outside normal business hours, including weekends, as needed
- Travel is required, including occasional domestic and international travel to locations such as Mexico, Brazil, and Japan by plane or car
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
