Job Summary
IT Manager needed to own and build the company's technology infrastructure from the ground up as the first dedicated IT hire. You will manage enterprise systems administration, end-user support across Torrance and Saginaw, and the secure Microsoft environment underpinning defense-adjacent operations. Key duties include identity and access management (Azure Entra ID), device and endpoint management (Intune), on-site and cloud networking, GCC High Microsoft 365 compliance, vulnerability remediation in line with CMMC Level 2/NIST 800-171, policy and documentation development, vendor coordination, and ensuring DoD/CMMC compliance. The role requires a builder mindset, comfort with being the sole IT resource, and the ability to implement and maintain IT infrastructure in a regulated manufacturing context.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of hands-on IT experience
- At least 2 years managing enterprise Microsoft environments in a regulated or defense-adjacent setting
- Microsoft 365 GCC High experience (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)
- Azure Active Directory / Entra ID; IAM with Conditional Access and RBAC
- Endpoint management with Microsoft Intune or equivalent MDM/UEM
- Experience with CMMC/NIST 800-171 controls in GCC High environment
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPN, DNS/DHCP)
- Strong problem-solving and builder mindset; able to work as sole IT person
- Ability to build and stand up IT infrastructure from scratch
- Security policy development and documentation
- Vendor/MSP coordination and management
- SLA management and external vendor relationships
- IT policy, playbooks, asset inventories, and network diagrams
