Job Summary
Lead IT infrastructure and operations to scale in a high-growth, deep-tech environment. Oversee networks, servers, cloud services, and end-user devices; manage corporate IT systems (Microsoft 365/Google Workspace, CRM, ERP) and implement scalable IT architecture to support growth from 75 to 200+ employees. Build and enforce information security policies, implement controls (endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS, access management), and optimize IT support and user experience. Establish and maintain IT helpdesk, onboarding/offboarding, asset lifecycle management, and AV across sites. Drive IT projects, budgets, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives; provide regular leadership reports on IT performance, security posture, and project status.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience managing IT provision in a corporate environment
- Previous experience in a technology company, research organization, or scale-up environment
- Track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time and within budget
- Experience with Google/365 office suites and Windows/Mac/Linux operating systems
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) including administration and cost management
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
- Experience with identity management systems (Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta, or similar)
- Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, Jamf, or similar MDM/UEM platforms)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Experience with IT service management tools and ITIL practices
- Understanding of data protection regulations (GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018)
