Job Summary
Lead IT risk-based audits for a diversified manufacturing group, delivering SOX 404 IT compliance and operational IT audits. Direct data-analytics-driven reviews and advisory services to strengthen controls, partnering with IT, finance, and operations leadership. Manage end-to-end audits, communicate findings to executives, mentor internal-audit staff, and coordinate with external auditors. Leverage COBIT/NIST/ITIL/ISO frameworks and bring expertise in ERP, shop floor, and manufacturing systems; role emphasizes governance, cybersecurity, change management, access controls, data integrity, business continuity, and AI-enabled optimization. Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days per week in the Mettawa, IL office; collaboration with a decentralized technology landscape across a multi-brand manufacturing holding company.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience in IT audit, internal audit, risk management, or public accounting
- Strong working knowledge of SOX 404 and PCAOB standards
- General IT Controls, automated controls, and IPE considerations
- SOC 1 / SOC 2 report evaluation
- Manufacturing-centric systems (ERP, shop floor, supply chain, inventory)
- Demonstrated ability to lead audits end-to-end with limited supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting
- Understanding of COBIT, NIST, ITIL, and ISO frameworks
- Experience with audit management tools and data analytics platforms (e.g., Diligent, Power BI)
- Familiarity with AI, analytics, and automation in internal audit
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CIPP or CPA (or active pursuit)
- Big 4 or large national firm IT audit experience (preferred)
