Job Summary
IT Intern to support data engineering and analytics initiatives at PPG's Technology Center in Shah Alam. You will assist with implementing and supporting data lake solutions, data ingestion and integration frameworks, and help development of optimized data models, pipelines, and BI visualizations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, adhering to governance and processes, and collaborating across regions in an agile environment. Hands-on exposure to Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Snowflake/SQL endpoints, Power BI, and learning opportunities in SQL/Scala, data modeling, and data visualization; participate in various project roles from data ingestion and integration to modelling and visualization, with potential exposure to Git-based workflows via Azure DevOps.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma OR Bachelor's Degree OR Professional Degree OR equivalent qualifications
- Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Ability to work with large volumes of data; sort, filter, shift, summarize, error check
- Ability to run basic queries over data sets
- Independent and collaborative team member in an agile environment
