Job Summary
IT Intern – Under close supervision, provides moderately complex computer systems support including installing, configuring and supporting the Windham School District LAN and network computer systems; assists in maintaining network hardware and software. Requires enrollment in a college/university with a declared major in computer science, MIS or related field, and demonstrated ability to work with computers, operating systems, networks and install application software; emphasis on effective communication, confidentiality, and professional conduct. Major duties include assisting with computer system support and network maintenance, installation/configuration/troubleshooting of hardware and software, and LAN components such as routers, hubs, switches, and servers; adherence to district policies and ethics; travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Be enrolled in an accredited college or university with a declared major of computer science, management information systems or a related field.
