IT Infrastructure Support Specialist

Job Summary
Ensure proper cable management, labeling, and compliance with industry standards for structured cabling, fiber optics, and CCTV systems. Supervise installation, termination, and testing of data, voice, and network infrastructure while monitoring OTDR and Fluke testing results. Troubleshoot and repair damaged cabling, connectors, and network drops, and manage IT contractors and vendors for project coordination. Provide technical support for Microwave and Tetra tower installations, maintain temporary IT infrastructure including wireless access points and VPN connections, and assist with DMZ configuration. Perform site activities in compliance with safety standards, including executing safety work permits and developing Job Safety Analysis. Maintain IT standards for IT rooms and industrial control systems, prepare inspection test reports, and coordinate remote issue remediation with DIS teams.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
- specialized training, certification, or equivalent work experience
- Good written and spoken English language skills
- Proven work experience in desktop support or other IT infrastructure areas
- Good Knowledge of PC clients including: Operating Systems (Microsoft)Windows 7 / Windows 10
- Network Connectivity (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN)
- Remote Connectivity/SSL/VPN
- Printing – Queue setup, NW troubleshooting, HP hardware knowledge
- Software distribution/SCCM - Basic knowledge
- MS Office Products, including Office/O365
- Microsoft SCEP/Windows Firewall
- Virtual desktop infrastructure and/or Citrix
- Good understanding of ITIL processes used by Air Products (Incident, Change, Problem, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Industrial Control System (ICS)
- Knowledge of other IT infrastructure tools and services such as networks, servers, security and voice
- Ability to work with strategic vendors, outside support/service providers and 3rd party vendors
