Job Summary
IT Infrastructure Network Engineer responsible for designing, planning and implementing enterprise-level network IT infrastructure for transformation and integration across Europe, migrating legacy systems to new solutions, ensuring security, cost efficiency, and bandwidth optimization. Key duties include collaborating with Server, Cloud, and Application teams; delivering end-to-end infrastructure solutions; documenting delivered solutions; and acting as L3/L4 point of contact after service handover. Desired skills include network infrastructure design and build, firewall management (Fortigate/Checkpoint), data centre networking, CCNA/CCNP level routing and switching, SD-WAN (Velocloud/Fortigate), DNS/DHCP/NTP, VLANs, QoS, VPNs, VOIP, and strong technical documentation and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in network infrastructure design and build
- Network components maintenance experience (upgrades etc)
- Firewalls (ideally Fortigate, Checkpoint)
- Data centre network experience
- Cisco or Fortinet based routing and switching (CCNA level)
- Knowledge of protocols: IP, SNMP, SMTP, OSPF, VLAN
- ACLs
- Static routing
- SDWAN (ideally Velocloud or Fortigate)
- Switch stacking
- Experience of complex network migrations
- Cisco wireless experience
- Ability to read, understand and create technical documentation of the delivered solutions
- Collaborative team player
- CCNP level (advantage)
- Experience with protocols like DNS, DHCP, NTP, HTTP, BGP
- VOIP
- QoS
- Network monitoring
- Load Balancing
- VPN (ideally Pulse Secure)
- Cloud Networking
