IT Infrastructure Engineer - TS/SCI

In this role you will design, implement, and maintain both secure and non-secure DoD networks, supporting on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure with a focus on a global secure communications network that interconnects critical DoD weapon systems. Responsibilities include maintaining an AWS hybrid cloud virtualized network, configuring Cisco ASA next-generation firewalls, integrating and utilizing network monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk), assisting users with AD/LDAP issues, documenting policies and procedures to maintain business continuity, troubleshooting Layer 1-4 networking issues, maintaining an on-prem VMware ESXi environment, and supporting rapid prototyping for specialized communications needs. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance and IAT III certification, along with extensive experience in enterprise network and server infrastructure, firewall and VPN technologies, cloud platforms, and secure systems compliance (STIGs, NIST, RMF). The candidate should possess strong documentation skills, be able to produce network diagrams and architecture documentation, and support incident response as part of a cross-functional team. Desired skills include site-to-site VPN architectures, infrastructure-as-code, container platforms, hybrid cloud operations, observability/logging (Splunk, ELK, CloudWatch), AD/Server OS proficiency, Linux/Windows administration, and familiarity with DoD or federal environments.
