Job Summary
Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise IT infrastructure initiatives covering cloud, network, systems, security, and platform modernization. Develop project roadmaps, manage budgets and resource allocations, and oversee risk management across multiple concurrent initiatives. Provide technical leadership for implementation strategies, complex issue resolution, and disaster recovery readiness. Manage vendor and MSP relationships, including contract oversight, SLA governance, and service optimization. Partner with cross-functional teams to establish delivery standards, ITSM processes, and governance controls. Communicate delivery status, operational impacts, and strategic recommendations to leadership. Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure delivery processes and workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure (cloud, systems, network, or security)
- 3+ years of experience managing infrastructure delivery and/or vendors
- 2+ years of supervisory or project leadership
- Proven experience leading end-to-end infrastructure delivery in enterprise or complex hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud), including design, implementation, and operational transition
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable), including compute, networking, storage, identity, and foundational cloud architecture principles
- Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure delivery projects or programs, including planning, prioritization, resource coordination, risk management, and stakeholder communication across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Experience managing vendors, MSPs, and third-party service providers, including SLA oversight, performance management, escalation handling, and service optimization
- Strong working knowledge of ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, and release management) with experience improving or operating within structured service delivery environments
- Solid understanding of infrastructure security, risk management, and compliance frameworks, with experience supporting audit readiness and governance requirements
- Strong infrastructure engineering background (cloud, network, systems, security)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and vendor-related issues
- Knowledge of automation, scripting (PowerShell, Python), and infrastructure tooling
- Strong project and service delivery management skills
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with delivery leadership responsibilities
- Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills
- Strong risk, issue, and escalation management capabilities
- Ability to manage vendor relationships, performance, and accountability
- Experience negotiating and enforcing SLAs, KPIs, and contractual deliverables
- Strong communication skills when working with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements or changes
- Understanding of infrastructure cost management, budgeting, and vendor spend optimization
- Strong documentation and process discipline (audit-ready mindset)
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, multi-project environments
- Occasional onsite presence may be required as well as periodic travel for purposes of attending required company-sponsored events, meetings, or all-hands gatherings
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure (cloud, systems, network, or security)
- 4+ years of experience managing infrastructure delivery and/or vendors
- 3+ years of supervisory or project leadership
- Experience managing vendor contracts, SOWs, and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Experience supporting outsourcing models or co-managed infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor onboarding, and financial tracking (cost management, invoicing)
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
- Project management certifications (PMP, Agile, Scrum)
