Job Summary
Entry-level IT HelpDesk Support Specialist at Clatsop Community College. Provides front-line technical assistance to faculty, staff and students, configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and training users on desktop, laptop, peripheral and mobile equipment across Windows, Mac, and Linux environments. Manages service delivery via help desk ticketing, escalates issues as needed, and coordinates with Computer Services and Federal Work Study students. Also handles equipment moves for events, on-site installations, and clerical duties; requires strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Evening/weekend shifts not specified; on-campus role with on-site presence required.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years previous experience in repairing and maintaining computer equipment
- willing to complete AA degree within four years
- basic knowledge of Windows 10/11
- basic knowledge of Mac and Linux environments
- basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to lift 25 pounds and work in confined spaces
