Job Summary

IT Help Desk Technician serves as the first point of contact for technical support across a multi-site manufacturing and distribution organization, delivering frontline, Tier I support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, VPN, and standard business apps to end users in the US, Mexico, and the UK. The role supports both onsite and remote employees, collaborates with Tier II/III support and external vendors, maintains ITSM ticketing workflows, aids onboarding/offboarding, and helps drive security practices and documentation. Key activities include incident and request management, user/system administration, workstation imaging and deployments, and contributing to system rollouts and continuous improvement in manufacturing and distribution environments. Strong communication, customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritize across multiple requests and collaborate across offices, warehouses, and production facilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in Help Desk, Technical Support, or IT Support roles preferred
  • Experience supporting users in a multi-site or manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Relevant technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online
  • Active Directory / Azure Active Directory
  • VPN and remote access technologies
  • IT ticketing and asset management systems
  • ERP and business systems within manufacturing or distribution environments
  • Mobile device support (iOS and Android)
  • Network and wireless troubleshooting
  • Microsoft Teams and collaboration technologies
