Job Summary
IT Help Desk Intern for Western Protective Solutions in Eugene, OR. Provide frontline technical support to internal users, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, and network issues, assist with user account management (Active Directory and Azure Entra ID), support software rollouts and Windows patching, document activities in the helpdesk system, maintain IT asset inventory, and coordinate with external vendors. Collaborative role with senior IT staff in a fast-paced manufacturing/office environment; includes setup and deployment of workstations, user access configuration, and occasional after-hours support. Strong written and oral communication, detail-oriented, and a genuine interest in technology. Must be able to lift IT equipment up to 50 pounds and obtain U.S. government security clearance. This internship is part-time (approx. 15–25 hours/week) in Eugene, Oregon.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure installations
- Basic understanding of network security architecture
