IT Functional Analyst

Job Summary
IT Functional Analyst bridges business needs and IT solutions within a complex banking environment. You collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and project teams to translate requirements into functional specifications, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, and project objectives. Responsibilities include analyzing business needs, defining functional requirements and specifications, guiding solution architectures, coordinating IT teams, maintaining documentation, supporting development, testing, releases, and production incidents, and contributing to Agile/Scrum processes. Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of IT analysis experience in banking/financial services, strong knowledge of APIs, UML, and integration concepts, experience translating business requirements, excellent stakeholder management, English fluency (Dutch/French advantageous), and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or in a similar IT analysis role
- Strong understanding of IT systems, application architectures, and system integrations
- Experience within the banking or financial services sector
- Solid knowledge of functional analysis methodologies and best practices
- Experience translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications
- Strong understanding of APIs and Swagger documentation
- Experience creating and interpreting UML diagrams
- Knowledge of AI-supported analysis techniques and tools
- Experience working within Agile and Scrum environments
- Knowledge of Java is considered an advantage
- Knowledge of XSD and XSLT is considered an advantage
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Dutch and/or French are considered an advantage
