IT Finance Director, Strategy & Transformation (AHN)

Job Summary

Lead IT procurement, contracting, and vendor management operations by overseeing the full contract lifecycle, negotiating terms, and driving continuous improvement for cost savings and efficiency. Develop and execute IT financial strategies that align with organizational priorities, including budgeting, forecasting, and investment portfolio performance monitoring to optimize value and mitigate risk. Build comprehensive business cases for new initiatives, quantify financial benefits, and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership to secure approvals and resources. Manage departmental operations, staff development, and performance metrics while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • 7-10 years of experience in Finance or related experience, with a significant portion focused on IT finance or operations
  • 5-7 years of experience in a Management or leadership role
  • Proven experience in IT finance strategy, planning, and analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT procurement, contracting, and vendor management
  • Substitutions 6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Understanding of key healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • Strong financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting skills
  • Excellent negotiation and contracting skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various audiences, including executive leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and team development skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) OR Certified Management Accountant (CMA) OR Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) certification
  • Experience within the healthcare industry
