On-call IT Field Technician role in St. Louis, MO and surrounding areas as a 1099 independent contractor. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing Windows and macOS issues, resolving WiFi/router problems, installing printers and scanners, configuring POS systems and running network cabling, performing outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup, and providing on-site IT support for homes and small businesses. Pay is $35 per hour on-site with additional outdoor TV mounting pay; you set your availability and distance radius, and jobs are dispatched based on proximity and skills. The company offers nationwide computer repair and technology support services delivered both remotely and on-site, with flexible scheduling and support from a dispatch team.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service
- Strong networking and diagnostic skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Own required tools including a laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester, and RJ45 tools
