IT Field Support Specialist

Job Summary
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for workstations, servers, and teleconferencing equipment while troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining enterprise hardware. Conduct site surveys, install specialized cabling, and configure communications infrastructure including fiber optic modems and telephone systems. Develop technical documentation, prepare procurement specifications, and train end users on installed hardware and equipment. Utilize ticketing systems to document incidents and manage remote and onsite support for connectivity and hardware issues. Work an 8-hour shift between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM with an active TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph required.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Current customer access
- High school diploma or GED
- One (1) to two (2) years of relevant IT support experience
- DoD 8570 certification
- Must be able to drive a company vehicle
- Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and other physical activities associated with field support operations
- Must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, as determined by management
- Experience installing, repairing, and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals
- Experience installing Microsoft Windows operating systems, software applications, and security patches
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply technical manuals and schematics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems
- Familiarity with Active Directory security and policies
- Experience providing remote end-user technical support
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities
