Job Summary
Lead and mentor a geographically distributed engineering team (frontend, full-stack, QA) while remaining actively involved in technical delivery, contributing code 20-30% of the time. Key responsibilities include optimizing software development lifecycle (SDLC), implementing CI/CD pipelines, defining the technical roadmap, managing team capacity, and driving engineering best practices. The role requires 3+ years of management experience and 8+ years in frontend/full-stack development, with expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience in building scalable solutions using modern frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years managing engineering teams (frontend, full-stack, QA)
- 8+ years as individual contributor in frontend/full-stack development space
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Svelte/SvelteKit (required or willing to learn)
- React/Next.js (required)
- Backend: Node.js, or C#
- RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
- Database design (SQL and NoSQL)
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) experience
- Progressive Web App (PWA) expertise
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles
- Experience with test automation (TDD, unit, integration, e2e)
- Agile/Scrum methodology expertise
- Distributed team management experience

- Salesforce Commerce Cloud certifications
- Headless/composable commerce architecture experience
- E-commerce platform experience (Shopify, Adobe Commerce, SAP)
- Micro-frontends or microservices experience
- CDN/edge computing knowledge (Fastly, Cloudflare)
