Job Summary
Provide setup, troubleshooting, and systems administration for engineers' Linux laptops and servers, while delivering Tier 2-3 support for macOS and Windows users. Evaluate new application requests, write custom integrations between Google Workspace, Slack, and Jira, and assist staff in using AI tools effectively. Troubleshoot the onsite Meraki network and Linux-based VPN, then partner with the Sweden-based IT team across time zones to escalate and document issues. Write documentation for both users and internal IT use. This hands-on, in-office role keeps US sites running and engineering hardware healthy for a team focused on autonomous electric freight technology.
Required Qualifications
- solid Linux systems administration experience
- comfort on the command line
- package management

- log analysis
- basic scripting
- comfortable with basic coding in languages like Python or Go
- working knowledge of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, Wi-Fi)
- hands-on experience with Meraki or comparable managed gear
- effective end-user support across a mixed OS environment
- ability to move seamlessly between deep technical work and routine hardware setup or everyday support tasks
- ability to explain technical concepts clearly in both spoken and written communication
- ability to thrive independently and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- work out of our Austin office
- travel up to 15% within the US
- maintain a valid driver's license
- ability to lift/move hardware as needed
