Job Summary
IT Developer, Advisor within the DSPT team at SCE, working to turn business needs into scalable software applications, automations, and integrations. Responsibilities include requirements collection, designing and delivering high-quality software, troubleshooting production issues, improving code stability and performance, delivering cross-functional system designs, collaborating with analysts and project managers, managing budgets/timelines, conducting QA and development lifecycle activities, staying current with technology, sharing knowledge, and enforcing strong data security and privacy practices. Key skills include Agile/DevOps practices, Power BI/Power Apps/Power Automate/SharePoint, Python/SQL/Visual Basic, dashboards and analytics, cross-functional collaboration, risk management, and proactive process improvements. The role requires hybrid work with up to 45% travel, and residency in California.
Required Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience in information technology development including System Development Lifecycle models, methodologies, and coding standards
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Experience developing automated reports and analytics using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, SQL, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint
- Programming experience in one or more languages such as Python, SQL, Visual Basic, or other object-oriented languages
- Experience developing dashboards, data visualizations, analytical models, and decision-support tools
- Experience supporting system implementations and post-deployment (hypercare) activities
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and system designs to non-technical audience
