Job Summary
IT Desktop Support Technician at Meritus Health providing first-line technical support for PC hardware, software, thin clients, and network connectivity across the health system. You'll troubleshoot and resolve standard technical issues, install and configure PC operating systems and applications per Meritus Health standards, maintain knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows OS, and deliver excellent customer service while documenting activities and escalating complex issues. The role supports end users in clinical and administrative departments, requiring independent work, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and adherence to Meritus Health values. Work schedule is Weekday Day Shift (8:00 am–4:30 pm) with some weekends, nights, or holidays as needed; location is on-site in Hagerstown, MD. Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s degree or technical school coursework and at least four years of hands-on computer user support experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred; A+ or MCP preferred; valid US work authorization (no visa sponsorship expected); valid driver’s license; Corp-to-Corp not accepted. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or completion of technical school coursework required
- Minimum of four years of hands-on computer user support experience required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating systems, and advanced application tools preferred
- Professional certification such as A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
