Job Summary
Manage Archibus system administration duties including redirecting work requests, creating user accounts, and updating space occupancy data for 30 million square feet of CUNY facilities. Develop and implement custom reports, wireframe prototypes, and backend integrations while debugging and upgrading web applications. Requires proficiency in SQL, HTML/CSS/Javascript, and Microsoft Excel, with availability for at least 14 hours weekly. This internship supports the Facilities Information Systems team in maintaining the Integrated Work Management System that handles corrective and preventative maintenance across 26 campuses.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a CUNY school
- Must be available at least 14 hours a week
- Beginner or Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Comfort working with time-series datasets
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
- Experience with HTML/CSS/Javascript
- Essential data entry and data analysis skills
- Familiarity with spreadsheets
- Familiarity with relational databases
Desired Qualifications
- Ideal candidates are pursuing degrees in facilities management, architecture, or IT
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Proficiency with source control (Git)
- Familiarity with the .NET runtime and any of its languages (C#/F#/VB.NET/etc.)
- Excellent writing, interpersonal, customer service, and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and changing needs and priorities
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently
