Job Summary
Develop custom reports and models that address business needs while extracting, manipulating, and visualizing data across different platforms. Conduct exploratory meetings with business partners to generate ideas on how data and reporting can drive operational efficiencies and new business opportunities. Present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders to inform critical business decisions. Work on special projects presented to leadership at the program's conclusion. This 40-hour weekly summer internship includes shadowing, mentoring, and group projects within Union Home Mortgage's L.E.A.D program, offering a real-world environment to learn from senior leadership and develop core data analytics skills.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a 2-year or 4-year college degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or Economics
- Junior or Senior Standing
- Strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with at least one relational database
- Familiarity with at least one spreadsheet application
- Understanding and use of Business Intelligence and visualization Tools
- Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
- Self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
- An understanding of AI tools and their use
