Job Summary
IT Controls Consultant in PwC Bulgaria's Risk Assurance Services team engaging in reviewing and evaluating client IT controls and processes within IT assurance projects. Responsibilities include assessing IT environments (applications, operating systems, databases), communicating audit findings to senior management and clients, and participating in projects related to information security, cybersecurity, and SOX IT controls testing. The role offers hybrid work (office or remote) with a central Sofia office, opportunities to work with domestic and international clients, and programs to aid integration (Coach/Buddy). Qualifications emphasize a university degree in a related field, experience with IT controls or openness to junior candidates, knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics NAV), IT infrastructure fundamentals, and strong English/Bulgarian (German a plus), plus Excel and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree in Business Informatics, Economics, IT, or a related field
- Experience with IT controls and processes (candidates with no experience considered for junior role)
- Expertise in IT audit, internal audit, or SOX controls is advantageous
- Knowledge of Accounting and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV and SAP)
- Understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals (networks and databases)
- Proficiency in English and Bulgarian; German is a plus
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and networking skills
- Eagerness to learn and take on challenges
