Job Summary
Design and implement network solutions, configure firewalls and routing, and manage server and backup infrastructure to maximize efficiency and security. Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of hardware and software across the organization while negotiating with vendors to secure products and services. Develop strategic plans for network capacity, establish policies for resource administration, and deploy methodologies for testing and reporting performance statistics. Manage subcontractors involved in network installation and ensure optimal operation of all network equipment including routers, switches, and intrusion detection systems. Conduct research on protocols and standards to support procurement and development efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of enterprise network infrastructure experience supporting LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and network security environments
- 8+ years of experience leading and developing network operations or infrastructure teams
- Strong expertise in Cisco and Juniper technologies, routing, switching, wireless, VoIP, and firewall solutions
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, and BGP
- Experience troubleshooting complex network, security, and performance issues using monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Knowledge of data center, SAN, and telecommunications technologies
- Familiarity with compliance and security standards, including SOX, PCI-DSS, and data privacy regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong customer focus and proven ability to work collaboratively across teams
Desired Qualifications
- CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent networking certifications preferred
