Job Summary
The role involves providing technical guidance and leadership for projects related to web, distributed, vendor, and mainframe applications. Key responsibilities include delivering technical architecture and design leadership, assisting with system design, ensuring design consistency, and engaging in vendor assessments. Candidates should have robust solution architecture experience focusing on clinical and healthcare solutions, along with effective communication and facilitation skills. Required experiences include translating system architecture to design decisions, familiarity with modeling tools, and a comprehensive understanding of software engineering processes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong solution architecture background with emphasis on clinical, wellness and provider related solutions - at least 5 years
- Experience with vendor evaluation and selection including capacity to complete platform assessments and architectural fit - at least 5 years
- Knowledge in clinical, provider and health data to leverage as part of assigned project solution architecture work - at least 5 years
- Good facilitator with above average communication skills
- Solid working knowledge of requirements management principles and techniques (e.g. use case)
- Proven experience in translating system architecture to specific design decisions
- Thorough understanding of OOAD and UML
- Practical experience with common modeling and development tools (e.g. Rose, WSAD)
- Familiarity with the technology with which the system will be implemented
- Familiarity with industry best design approaches
- Share a common understanding of software engineering process with the enterprise solution architects.
- Proactive and goal-oriented with a focus on results
- Practical experience with common architectural patterns and principles
- Proven capability of managing competing priorities
- A professional habit of continuously learning and self-improvement
- Experience with Vendor Package / Product evaluation, selection, integration and design
- Experience with web architecture and design
Desired Qualifications
- Prior healthcare industry experience preferred (e.g. HIPPA Compliance Standards)
