Job Summary
Act as the primary point of contact for the third-party MSP, auditing performance against SLAs and reviewing technical quotes. Manage relationships with software vendors, cellular providers, and specialized hardware suppliers, while vetting and approving all IT-related purchases within established budgetary limits. Lead the implementation of new technologies including AI tools and automated data extraction processes, and manage the integration of peripheral software with the central ERP. Develop and enforce IT Acceptable Use Policies regarding AI usage and data security, collaborating with the CFO to manage cybersecurity risk and ensure compliance. Ensure field crews have necessary hardware and connectivity, oversee the lifecycle of company assets, and serve as the high-level escalation point for complex technical issues. This role requires 5-8 years of IT management experience, familiarity with Acumatica, and the ability to travel occasionally to company sites.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years in IT management or Business Systems roles
- preferably within the construction or heavy equipment industries
- Familiarity with mid-market ERP systems
- experience with Acumatica
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture
- API integrations
- software development
- Ability to translate technical challenges into business risks and financial opportunities for executive leadership
- Proven track record of leading software rollouts or system migrations across multiple departments or companies
- Capable of speaking tech with the MSP and operations with a Site Superintendent
- Ability to travel occasionally to company sites and offices
