IT Business Architect

Job Summary

Partner with business stakeholders and IT leadership to document current-state and future-state business processes, capability maps, and value streams. Translate business strategy and operational needs into system requirements for ERP, CPQ, and CRM platforms while identifying process gaps and automation opportunities. Lead and mentor the Business Analysis and IT QA teams, establishing test strategies, monitoring KPIs, and coordinating resource allocation across the enterprise project portfolio. Serve as a trusted advisor to functional leaders on how system capabilities support business objectives and ensure solutions align with master data governance and enterprise architecture standards. Apply working knowledge of Infor Visual, Tacton, and Salesforce to guide configuration decisions and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis, business architecture, or solution architecture roles, including experience in a discrete manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing a team, ideally spanning business analysis and/or QA disciplines
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Infor Visual preferred), CPQ platforms (Tacton preferred), and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong facilitation, requirements-gathering, and process-mapping skills (e.g., BPMN, value stream mapping)
  • Solid understanding of software QA practices, including test planning, test case design, and defect management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both executive stakeholders and technical teams

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in an engineer-to-order or configure-to-order manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) or formal business architecture certification (e.g., CBAP, CBA)
  • Familiarity with integration platforms (MuleSoft) and analytics/data platforms (Microsoft Fabric)
  • Experience operating within a PMO or structured project governance model
  • Experience in a private equity-owned or portfolio-company environment
