IT Business Analyst

Job Summary
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear requirements and user stories to ensure successful product delivery. Analyze, redesign, and document "as is" and "to be" business processes, providing traceability from requirements to IT solutions while supporting system testing and validation. Conduct acceptance testing with the user community, develop UAT scenarios, and deliver training materials to end-users. Partner with Business/IT to define release scope, manage backlogs, and support the product lifecycle from planning to deployment. This hybrid role in Kuala Lumpur requires three days onsite weekly and Japanese language proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Proven experience fulfilling the role of a Business Analyst within the insurance industry
- Demonstrable experience across a range of projects, both technology and non-technology
- Strong business requirements analysis, written, presentation, and communication skills
- Good understanding of MongoDB MEAN (Express.js, Angular, Node.js) and MERN (Express.js, React, Node.js) stack
- Over 5 years of experience analyzing business problems and designing solutions
- Ability to elicit, articulate, and document process models, requirements, and business scenarios using user stories
- Stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to gain consensus and sign-off
- Ability to build strong working relationships with IT and business managers
- Experience with Agentic AI: Familiarity with agentic development concepts, such as designing or utilizing autonomous AI agents to automate business workflows and data analysis
- Ability to speak Japanese
