Job Summary
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from banking and investment stakeholders, translating needs into functional specifications to support the development lifecycle. Conduct data analysis using SQL, Excel, or BI platforms to assess financial product impacts, identify trends, and inform strategy. Participate actively in technical implementation, testing, and system integration while ensuring alignment with IT architecture. Stay current with regulatory changes and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement within the financial services sector.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Ideally within investment banking
- Demonstrated understanding of financial and capital market products and services
- Previous involvement in IT transformation or data-centric projects
- Strong data analysis capabilities
- Exposure to tools such as SQL, Excel, or Python
- Familiarity with technical workflows and systems (e.g., APIs, databases, system integration)
- Hands-on mindset and curiosity to work with technical teams and tools
- Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
