Job Summary
Conduct audit engagements to critically assess management and internal control processes, approving the nature, extent, and timing of audits and formulating insightful reports. Provide independent assurance on the quality and effectiveness of internal control, risk management, and governance systems to support senior management and the Board. Identify emerging issues, trends, and technology risks to inform decision-making and develop the annual audit plan. Execute both individual and capstone audits of enterprise-level functions while utilizing data analytics to improve quality and efficiencies. Maintain independence and deliver objective, clear, and timely assessments of control deficiencies based on Corporate Audit Methodology. This role focuses primarily on business groups within BMO, with potential broader enterprise-wide scope. The position requires 5-7 years of IT Audit experience, a relevant degree, and designations such as CISA or CISSP.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant IT Audit experience
- post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional IT or Audit designations such as CISA, CIA, CISSP
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience
- Experience with AWS Cloud environments
