IT Asset Management (ITAM) – Senior Consultant

Job Summary
Produce accurate software baselines and Effective Licence Positions (ELPs) for Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendors using ITAM tools like FlexeraOne, Snow Atlas, and ServiceNow. Analyze deployment, usage, and entitlement data to validate accuracy, identify gaps, and apply complex vendor licensing rules to calculate compliance positions. Troubleshoot data quality issues, remediate tooling limitations, and document assumptions to ensure audit-ready outcomes. Support client decision-making during audits, renewals, and negotiations by providing defensible baseline outputs and clearly communicating licensing risks. Collaborate with internal specialists and technical teams to optimize baselining methodologies across diverse industries.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering software baselines for Tier 1 vendors (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, Adobe)
- Strong understanding of common enterprise software licensing models and metrics
- Hands-on experience with ITAM tools such as FlexeraOne, Snow Atlas, and/or ServiceNow SAM Pro
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify licensing risk and optimisation opportunities
- Experience troubleshooting discovery data, inventory gaps, and reconciliation challenges
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain baseline outcomes and risks to clients
- Consulting or client-facing experience, ideally across multiple industries
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Desired Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation
- IAITAM CSAM or CITAM
- ServiceNow SAM/HAM Pro certification
- Flexera or Snow certifications
- Vendor specific licensing training or accreditation (e.g. IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP) is highly regarded
