Job Summary
IT Area Manager at Enchanted Parks overseeing all park IT systems at Galveston Schlitterbahn Waterpark, including ticketing, POS, access control, rides systems, network infrastructure, and end-user devices. Leads day-to-day IT operations, on-site support during operating days, and rapid outage response to minimize guest impact. Designs and maintains park IT architecture (servers, network topology, backups), manages cybersecurity controls, ensures PCI compliance and data privacy, and oversees disaster recovery/business continuity. Manages vendor relationships, IT contracts, and technology rollouts; recruits, trains, and supervises seasonal IT staff; develops SOPs and escalation workflows. Collaborates with Operations, Finance, HR, Food & Beverage, Retail, and Safety to improve guest experience through technology; supports reporting, analytics, and system integrations for operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience
- At least 2 years in an IT leadership or managerial role
- Strong experience supporting POS, ticketing, and network systems in hospitality, attractions, or retail environments
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- IT certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, or similar) a plus
