IT Applications Manager

Job Summary
Plan, direct, and oversee the development, support, and enhancement of business applications, including the ERP system, custom in-house applications, and reporting solutions. Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision to the IT applications team, guiding staff through project execution from requirements through deployment. Collaborate with development staff, analysts, and business owners to manage enhancement projects, establish realistic estimates, and ensure application platforms remain reliable, secure, and aligned with organizational needs. Oversee the design and delivery of data reporting solutions while enforcing standards for application configuration and data governance. Evaluate software purchases, manage vendor relationships, and promote the adoption of AI tools to advance departmental goals. This role supports the contract manufacturing and ingredient distribution operations of Select Custom Solutions, partnering with the infrastructure team to maintain high-quality product delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting software development processes (SDLC)
- Experience supporting, administering, or implementing an ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP
- Experience programming in C#.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or related programming environments
- A solid understanding of Transact-SQL and database administration
- Knowledge of reporting tools, including Power BI or similar systems
- Experience with software development to integrate ERP and related applications, including working with APIs
- Understanding of functional business areas such as Accounting, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a supervisory, lead, or coordinator role
- Enterprise application development experience
- Currently reside within 90 miles of La Crosse, WI
- Location: This role can be primarily hybrid/remote but would require occasional onsite days
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, regular business hours + on call/weekends as projects dictate
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices
- Safety Protocol: Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards
- Support safety policies and programs
