Job Summary
Analyze business needs and define technology solutions tailored to the group insurance sector. Contribute to understanding, documentation, and validation of business processes, including reading code, writing SQL queries, and analyzing legacy IBM i systems. Execute functional and regression testing, document defects, and ensure solution quality within an Agile environment. Collaborate with business partners and development teams to support modernization initiatives and production availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration (IT profile), or another related field
- Between five and ten years of relevant experience working in IBM i environments
- Strong understanding of batch processing and legacy systems
- Experience delivering IT projects, performing functional or technical analysis, and collaborating with multidisciplinary Agile teams
- Ability to analyze business needs, document solutions, and contribute to high-quality deliverables
- Solid understanding of quality assurance practices, test case design, and the execution of functional, integration, and regression testing
- Autonomy, rigor, curiosity, and strong analytical thinking
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Knowledge of the group insurance industry
- Strong understanding of IT delivery tools and practices, including change management and deliverable documentation
- Good knowledge of SQL databases and script execution
- Proficiency in modern software development approaches such as Agile, MVP, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD), REST, and SOAP
- Interest in modernization, continuous improvement, and knowledge sustainability
- Intermediate level of English proficiency
- Advanced level of French proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the group insurance sector is considered a significant asset
