Job Summary
Manage network infrastructure including DHCP, MAC management, cabling, and basic networking; install, configure, and maintain workstations through rollouts, updates, and lifecycle management. Oversee server operations for Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, file servers, databases, and virtualization environments. Provide technical support to departments and handle procurement planning for hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals. Execute individual IT projects ranging from operational optimizations to new service implementations. This role sits at the intersection of research, teaching, and industrial practice within a renowned research institute in Aachen.
Required Qualifications
- Abgeschlossene Ausbildung oder Studium im IT-Bereich (z. B. Fachinformatiker:in Systemintegration) oder vergleichbare Qualifikation
- Praxiserfahrung in Administration und Betrieb von Windows-basierten Infrastrukturen
- Grundlegendes Verständnis von Netzwerken (Adressierung, DHCP, Switching/Verkabelung) sowie strukturiertes Troubleshooting
