Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining and supporting our organization’s computer systems, networks, and hardware. Collaborate with the IT Manager to ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance overall system performance. Key responsibilities include user support, system maintenance, network management, enforcing cybersecurity policies, and implementing IT policies. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and at least 3 years in a similar role within the Shipping industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in the Shipping industry in similar positions
- Working knowledge of English language
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software
- Familiarity with security protocols and data protection
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills, team player, self-driven, organized, proactive
- Able to translate business needs into technical specifications
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Cloud platforms
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
