Job Summary
Senior ISSM responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of Air Force information systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain compliance and implement cybersecurity best practices. Lead risk assessments, document and mitigate security vulnerabilities, and apply NIST RMF and DoD cybersecurity requirements to protect sensitive systems. Requires 6+ years of information security experience, DoD/Air Force system familiarity, DoD 8570.01 M-IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or GSEC), and a Secret clearance. Strong communication and leadership skills; Mastery of security controls, compliance, and incident response in defense environments.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in information systems security or cybersecurity
- Experience supporting and securing Air Force or DoD systems
- Knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD cybersecurity policies
- Ability to assess, document, and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science field
- DoD 8570.01 M-IAT II certification such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or GSEC
