Island Restaurant General Manager

Create a learning and nurturing environment for all front of the house restaurant team members that promotes sales and service success. Develop and implement strategies to increase qualified applicants, including proactively recruiting and mentoring the team. Facilitate implementation of company learning/training programs, follow-up and monitor performance to ensure transfer of learned skills on-the-job. Manage individual restaurant expenses ensuring budgetary compliance. Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team, regional and corporate partners. Ensure consistent execution of Company policies and procedures. Incorporate and administer applicable safety programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests. Help create a clean, safe, professional and upbeat environment. Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently. Bending/stooping/kneeling required – frequently. Routine standing for duration of shift. Safely maneuvering equipment such as hand carts, blenders, knives, and wine keys. Scheduled shifts determined by business needs.
