Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and remanufacture Tosoh instruments and associated peripheral components in a shop environment while adhering to FDA and ISO quality system requirements. Complete all administrative responsibilities with 100% documentation accuracy and collaborate with Field Service personnel to resolve instrument issues. Fully comply with remanufacturing procedures, maintain compliance in daily activities, and interpret technical instructions in written, oral, and diagram form. Occasional business-related travel may be required. This role supports Tosoh Bioscience's diagnostic systems network for doctors' offices, hospitals, and reference laboratories.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent education and experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, fluidic diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Proficient soldering skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in order to maintain all documentation at 100% accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving skills to understand, follow through, and resolve instrument issues
- Sense of urgency to deliver timely results and resolve issues quickly
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in written, oral, and diagram form
- Experience working in the FDA-regulated medical device industry
- Working knowledge of quality system requirements
- Ability to work in a biohazard environment
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
- Ability to work near fumes or airborne particles
- Ability to work near caustic chemicals
- Ability to work with risk of electrical shock
