Job Summary
Evaluate student skills and abilities, then implement instructional plans to meet educational objectives. Monitor the class, provide feedback, and assess strengths and weaknesses to design strategies addressing individual needs. Create and maintain a learning environment conducive to student success while cultivating professional relationships grounded in discipline and respect. Develop curriculum and relevancy assessments for programs. Requires a master's degree in nursing, current NY state license, five years as a registered nurse, and two years of classroom teaching experience. Full-time Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, at $50.00 to $55.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Masters degree in nursing ( BSN and enrolled in a MSN program may be accepted)
- Current state license in good standing (NY)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a classroom setting
- A minimum of 5 years work experience as a Registered Nurse
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to coordinate, plan, direct and evaluate activities and programs
- Ability to manage student behavior and learning
- A broad knowledge in classroom instruction and teaching methods
- Computer proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of ATI is a plus
