Job Summary
Provide users access to Canadian Natural systems in accordance with documented procedures and within SLAs while maintaining a secure environment through strict approval processes. Deliver prompt service for IS-managed system access and support all IS departments and the business with their application needs. Demonstrate strong communication skills to handle high-pressure situations and balance conflicting priorities effectively. This student role supports the IS Operations team at Canadian Natural's Head Office in Calgary, AB. The term begins May 2027 for four months with a 5-on/2-off schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in your 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of a degree/diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to produce readable, current, and correct documentation and reports
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- All candidates applying to Canadian Natural must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
- Must be available for the shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday)
- Must be available for the term length: 4 months
- Must be available for the term start: May 2027
- Must be available for the Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
Desired Qualifications
- Previous IT work experience in the oil and gas industry and exposure to Cisco network infrastructure would be an asset
- Familiarity with any oil and gas applications would be an asset
- Familiarity with ITIL would be an asset
