Job Summary
Support LAN/WAN operations for 200+ PCs in a mixed Microsoft, Cisco, Linux, and Apple environment, performing duties from the office and shop floor. Process work orders for computer problems, domain accounts, and shared drives; troubleshoot and correct issues remotely. Perform scheduled hardware and software installations, configure new or replacement computers, printers, and peripherals, and maintain the PC infrastructure daily. Collaborate with staff to resolve application, phone, printer, and computer problems in real time, while creating and troubleshooting customer accounts for PCs, printers, and smartphones. Assist with desktop application installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including Remote Access and VPN clients. Install and deploy new desktop PCs and notebooks with data migration, documenting all activities in the work order system. Work locally in Costa Mesa, CA, reporting to the Network Administrator.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in information technology (IT) with emphasis in providing excellent customer service
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows, Active Directory, Office, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Exchange
- Must be a self-starter
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrate proven track record of providing excellent customer service (including communicating to staff the status of projects and targeted completion dates) to individuals using IT services in small to mid-size companies
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong ability to organize and multi-task while assuring that the customer's needs are met
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work (sit and/or stand) at a desk for the majority of the work day
- Walking and/or standing may be required for the remainder of the work day
- Requires grasping, writing, sitting, standing, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
- Ability to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, filing cabinets, photocopiers and other office equipment as applicable
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job, as defined
- Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies
- Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations
- Successful completion of a pre-employment substance abuse and physical screening
