Job Summary
Senior IS Applications System Analyst to lead workflow and data analysis initiatives, analyze and document system updates, test patches and releases, maintain data accuracy for EMR/PM/workflows, collaborate with Infrastructure/Clinical Informatics/BI, train junior staff, and serve as SME for supported applications using SQL Server, Report Builder, and Power BI. Requires healthcare informatics knowledge, regulatory awareness, and ability to translate business needs into technical specifications; emphasizes collaboration across Operations, Finance, and Patient Accounts and adherence to security and confidentiality practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field required; equivalent combination of education and related progressive experience may be considered
- 7–10 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Programmer Analyst, Application Analyst, or similar role
- Experience supporting Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems; Athena experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of application support, configuration, and maintenance in healthcare or similarly regulated environments
- Experience with SQL Server, reporting tools, and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
- Experience with application design, development, and testing strongly preferred
- Knowledge of scripting languages and automation tools is a plus
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and workflow improvement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate across departments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
