Job Summary
Irrigation Technician in a large cannabis cultivation facility. Responsible for managing day-to-day irrigation operations, performing preventive maintenance on digital irrigation control systems, coordinating with vendors, maintaining maintenance records, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Duties include wiring digital control systems, installing PVC plumbing, ordering parts for Netafim systems, pumps, and irrigation lines, and producing routine reports. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a background screening, and have strong reading/writing skills and math proficiency. Role reports to the Cultivation Manager; 40+ hours weekly with a schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent and 21+ years of age are required; background screening performed. Preferred 2-3 years of experience with digital irrigation systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
- 2-3 years of experience working with Digital Control Irrigation Systems (highly preferred)
- Ability to push/pull/move/lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as described in the job posting
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Must be able to work 40+ hours weekly and flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays
