Job Summary
The Irrigation Technician supports the golf course superintendent and assistant superintendent in maintaining the irrigation system and golf course conditions. Key responsibilities include daily maintenance of the irrigation system, undertaking cultural practices like aerification, and operating equipment for course mowing and brush removal. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of irrigation systems, possess strong leadership qualities, and be dependable with a commitment to safety in a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment
- Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system
- Knowledge of agronomy and turf grass science
- Ability to work carefully and ensure co-workers are working in safety
