Job Summary
Operate, service, and repair the irrigation system components; perform preventative maintenance on irrigation and lake water features; identify wet/dry areas for sprinkler head adjustments; inventory irrigation parts and tools; maintain pump station knowledge; troubleshoot distribution lines, valves, electrical, and irrigation controls; report irrigation breaks to lead technician or superintendent with a daily repairs log; prioritize irrigation issues and manage time efficiently; conduct monthly sprinkler head checks; perform winterization and blowout of irrigation lines and pump stations; apply safe work practices and perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; college/technical certificate preferred; 3-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination and experience
